  5. his large rich tone and his dexterity in the tradition of the
  6. peerless Paganini; in La Ciotat, France. At three, Francescatti
  7. began his study of the violin with his father, who had been
  8. taught by the Italian master Camillo Sivori, protege of
  9. Paganini. His concert tours with Maurice Ravel and with pianist
  10. Robert Casadesus won him wide acclaim.
